Gávea 99

Gávea nasceu do olhar: da forma da montanha vista do mar veio seu nome e uma vocação para a observação, a natureza e a ciência. Projetar nessa região é reconhecer essa herança e traduzi-la em matéria. O edifício se integra ao entorno com um gradil que remete às casas da região, que filtra a luz como as copas das árvores, e superfícies em tons neutros que se fundem à paisagem, compondo um ritmo discreto, mas marcante. Um projeto que respeita o lugar e convida à observação, como sempre foi próprio da Gávea.

O projeto parte de eixos que orientam a forma: natureza, texturas e inovação. A paleta de cores surge da própria paisagem da Gávea e se inspira nos tons neutros e na atmosfera natural do Jardim Botânico, lugar que impulsionou a ocupação na região, revelando uma materialidade serena. A inovação se reflete na diversidade da oferta de usos: as tipologias variam entre studios, quarto e sala, unidades de 1 e 2 quartos com varanda e gardens. No térreo e sobreloja, uma loja ativa a rua, enquanto a cobertura abriga espaços de convivência como coworking, gourmet, academia, sauna e piscina.

Gávea was born from observation: from the shape of the mountain seen from the sea came its name, and a vocation for contemplation, nature, and science. Designing in this region means recognizing that heritage and translating it into matter. The building integrates harmoniously with its surroundings through a railing that recalls the houses of the neighborhood, filtering light like the treetops, and through surfaces in neutral tones that blend into the landscape, creating a discreet yet striking rhythm. It is a project that respects its place and invites observation — as has always been part of Gávea’s essence.

The project is guided by three main axes: nature, texture, and innovation. The color palette emerges from Gávea’s own landscape, inspired by the neutral tones and natural atmosphere of the Jardim Botânico, the area that first encouraged settlement in the region, revealing a serene materiality. Innovation is reflected in the diversity of uses: typologies range from studios and one-bedroom units to one- and two-bedroom apartments with balconies and garden units. On the ground floor and mezzanine, a retail space activates the street, while the rooftop hosts communal areas such as coworking spaces, a gourmet area, gym, sauna, and pool.
