Vitrine Loja Dracena

A Cité Arquitetura foi convidada a participar da mostra Por Trás do Vidro, no Casa Shopping, a convite da loja Dracena, marca reconhecida pela força da arte popular e do artesanato brasileiro.

Inspirada pelas raízes da Dracena, pela ancestralidade e pelo fazer manual que atravessa gerações, a Cité concebe uma vitrine que vai além da exposição de objetos. Uma vitrine que fala de gesto, de matéria e de transformação. Do botar a mão na massa, literalmente.

A matéria-prima aqui não é apenas o barro, mas tudo aquilo que ele representa. O trabalho que molda famílias, constrói identidades, preserva saberes e transforma realidades. Durante muito tempo, essa arte foi pouco valorizada no país. Ainda assim, resistiu. Ganhou força graças a pessoas que se dedicaram a enxergar valor onde muitos não viam, como Janete Costa, que teve papel fundamental na valorização de artesãos, especialmente no Nordeste brasileiro. Hoje, esse olhar continua vivo através do trabalho e da curadoria de Daniela Correia, que percorre o Brasil revelando histórias, territórios e mãos que produzem.

A vitrine nasce desse encontro. Das mãos que moldam o barro, das histórias que atravessam o tempo, das prosas e afetos que unem a família Dracena e a família Cité. Um espaço de celebração do fazer, da criação coletiva e da memória.

Mais do que mostrar, a proposta é provocar. Criar novos horizontes, reforçar vínculos e reconhecer o valor do trabalho manual como potência cultural e humana.

Cité Arquitetura was invited to participate in the exhibition Behind the Glass at Casa Shopping, at the invitation of Dracena, a brand recognized for the strength of Brazilian folk art and craftsmanship. Inspired by Dracena’s roots, by ancestry, and by the handmade practices that span generations, Cité conceived a display that goes beyond the exhibition of objects. A showcase that speaks of gesture, material, and transformation of literally getting one’s hands dirty. The raw material here is not only clay, but everything it represents: the work that shapes families, builds identities, preserves knowledge, and transforms realities. For a long time, this art was undervalued in the country. Even so, it endured. It gained strength thanks to people who were dedicated to recognizing value where many did not, such as Janete Costa, who played a fundamental role in the appreciation of artisans, especially in Northeastern Brazil. Today, this perspective remains alive through the work and curation of Daniela Correia, who travels across Brazil revealing stories, territories, and the hands that create. The display is born from this encounter from the hands that shape clay, from stories that cross time, from the conversations and affections that connect the Dracena family and the Cité family. A space that celebrates making, collective creation, and memory. More than showing, the proposal is to provoke: to create new horizons, strengthen bonds, and recognize the value of manual work as a cultural and human force. This is how Mãos que Fazem comes to life a showcase about the act of making that shapes who we are.
